Brush Decorated Oval Karatsu Dish (flower motif)

These dishes are made from a combination of white Karatsu clay, and porcelain stone, resulting in a tight, low absorbtion, durable body suitable for restaurant use.
The glaze is a milky clear feldspar glaze similar to a Shino glaze. Brush decoration of weeds and flowers.

The understated colors of these dishes are ideal backgrounds for food presentation.

Wood fired for 52 hours, 1260C
