Chosen Karatsu Serving Bowl

This medium sized serving bowl is made from red Karatsu clay mixed with small to medium grain feldspar sand and glazed with
two different ash glazes that are applied so that they melt together and run during the firing, creating a dramatic waterfall effect. Here, they have pooled
together in the bowl in various shades of white, brown, blue, and yellow.

Individually, the ash glazes flow and break over the texture of the rough clay, creating a gorgeous landscape over the entire piece.

Wide flat profile allows for use as a dish for tea ceremony sweets (omogashi) as well as food.
