Izumiyama Shinogi O-Guinomi

The body of this large sake/tea cup is made from Izumiyama stone, with extra Izumiyama sand and larger inclusions added into the body.
Covered thinly with two ash glazes. The shinogi (fluting) brings out the beauty of the rough clay texture, and lightens the cup considerably.
The bare porcelain of the foot has reacted very strongly with the kiln atmosphere, turning a very strong red.

Signed and stamped kiribako (wood box), protective cloth included.
