Izumiyama Porcelain Sometsuke Fluted Goblet

This is a fluted goblet made from Izumiyama single stone porcelain. Underglaze brushwork in gosu (impure cobalt). Feldspathic glaze, fired for 52 hours in my wood kiln.

Clean brushwork inside and out, with nice flashing on the bare porcelain of the base. Similar to the goblet pictured my profile in the Spring 2023 issue of HonoGeijutsu magazine (no.153).

This goblet would be equally at home with wine, iced tea, Korean makgeulli, or small food items.
